What is Hypnotherapy?

Clinical hypnotherapy means using hypnosis to treat a variety of medical and psychological problems. It is estimated that 85% of people will readily respond to clinical hypnotherapy. It may even succeed where other, more conventional methods have not produced the desired result. When carried out by a professionally trained and skilled hypnotherapist, the benefits can be long lasting and often permanent. It is gaining acceptance within the medical establishment. It is completely natural and safe, with no harmful side effects.

Hypnotherapy can be effective for many problems that focus on emotional and habitual behaviours. While it cannot cure physical disorders such as heart disease or infection, it can help to boost the immune system and change our attitudes towards illness. It can be used to help with so many emotional problems such as improving relationships, reducing anxiety, boosting confidence and self-esteem. It can hep to break an addiction such as smoking. For creative uses it can help with sports performance, exam nerves, public speaking and motivation.

It is a fact that no-one can be hypnotised against their will, and even when hypnotized, a person can still reject any suggestion. Thus therapeutic hypnosis is a state of purposeful cooperation. People of all ages over four years old can be hypnotised, so long as they do not suffer from serious mental disorders and are not under the influence of alcohol.
